Weekend in Agistri
A weekend gives Agistri room to breathe — enough time to settle into one village, dedicate a full day to nature and beaches, and still see the parts of the island you didn’t base yourself in.
Day 1: settle in
Arrive and settle in Skala or Megalochori. Swim locally first, then walk the coastal road between the two villages in the evening. Keep dinner easy and close to your base — there’s no need to rush on your first evening.
Day 2: nature and beaches
Make this your nature-and-beach day. Start early with the Skala–Skliri–Chalikiada walk, or a cycling route toward Dragonera. In the afternoon, continue toward Limenaria and Aponisos if you have transport, and stay for sunset if you’re not depending on tight return logistics.
Day 3: the other side of the island
Use the morning for the opposite mood from your base. If you stayed in Skala, visit Megalochori, Metochi or Limenaria. If you stayed in Megalochori, enjoy Skala Beach or take a short boat trip. Leave time for ferry changes and port movement before you head back.
- A three-day version adds an east-coast walk to Skliri and Chalikiada, a west/south loop through Dragonera, Limenaria, Mariza and Aponisos, and optionally a boat trip or side visit to Aegina.
